I am Dr. Barb DePree, M.D., a women’s health provider for more than 30 years, and a menopause care specialist for the past thirteen. In my practice, I see women of my own generation, women who are more independent, educated, and assertive about their health than any generation before.

They also have access to more information about menopause than ever before. What they don’t necessarily have is the assurance that the information is current and accurate, or a way of sorting through conflicting information and making sense of it.

My goal with this site is to give updates on research in women’s health in midlife, to share observations and advice based on my work with women in my practice, and to explore the ways women in midlife make the transition in their lives and careers. I’d like it to be a community where we can talk openly about the hardships and the joys of this time of life, and share our experiences and ideas. No matter what age or stage we are in, it’s always nice to have good, reliable company on the journey.

Won’t you join us on this one?
